About Paypal and Credit Card Payments

Paypal is Petit Couture Mall's preferred and only method for its' customers to pay for merchandise.

You do not have to open an account with Paypal to make a credit card payment.

Located in San Jose, California, PayPal was founded in 1998 and was acquired by eBay in 2002.

 PayPal is designed from the ground up to be a safer way to send money online. PayPal doesn’t expose or sell your financial information to merchants.

  1. Your sensitive financial information is securely stored on Paypal servers.
  2. When you use PayPal to pay online, you provide only your PayPal email address.
  3. The merchants/retailers receive payment from PayPal without ever seeing your financial information.

PayPal uses SSL technology to keep your information safe. In addition, when you send a payment using PayPal, the recipient won't receive sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number. This way, you don't have to worry about paying people you don't know.

What does it mean to be Verified?

Verification increases the security of the PayPal network. Verified members have successfully completed PayPal's Verification system to establish their identity with us. The Verification process varies by country or region. For example, in the U.S., a Verified member has added and confirmed a bank account with PayPal. In Germany, a Verified member has completed a bank transfer or the Expanded Use Process. In most countries and regions where PayPal is available, a Verified member has added a credit card and completed the Expanded Use process.

Below is a screen shot of my Paypal Verification. To see this verification you must have a Paypal account, Click the "Paypal Verified" seal above. This will take you to the the secure server at Paypal.com. If you do not see the seal, you can click the "I'm Paypal Verified" link.

 Seller Reputation Number 

What is the Seller Reputation Number?


The Seller Reputation Number is the number of unique Verified PayPal members who have paid a seller. Together with the account creation date and Verification status, the Seller Reputation Number helps buyers evaluate a seller whom they do not know.

Where is it shown?


When a buyer is making a payment, a link to the Member Information Box is provided on the Send Money Confirmation page. This Box gives buyers information about the member they are paying including his account creation date, account type, and account status. The Seller Reputation Number is included in this Information. Premier and Business members have the option to cap the number when it reaches 1,000 (Displayed as 1,000+).
 

Reputation Numbers

The Buyer Reputation Number is the number of unique Verified PayPal members whom this Merchant has paid.

The Seller Reputation Number is the number of unique Verified PayPal members who have paid this Merchant.

These Reputation numbers were updated on 7/13/09. 

 

To Pay With a Credit Card:

1) Add the items you would like to your cart

2) Click the plain Checkout button (NOT the yellow Check out with Paypal button)

3) Complete the Billing information then click Continue at the bottom of the page

4) Review, then click the Paypal Check Out button at the bottom of the page

5) Review the order and click the Paypal Click Here to Pay button

6) When the Paypal page is loaded, click on Continue on the bottom left over the credit card icons. Looks like this: 

After you click continue, the following page will come up where you can pay securely without creating a Payapal account:

7) Complete the information and click Review Order and Continue
